Behind the scenes at Digital Monopoly: Our top 10 highlights for 2016
Ever wonder what goes on inside our engine room? It’s not all pretty pictures and pixels (although our designers would like to think it is). 2016 was arguably our most successful year to date. How did we do it? Here’s a taste of the Digital Monopoly life with our top 10 highlights for the year.
1. Putting RedInk’s best foot forward
Let’s put the spotlight on Redink Homes. We collaborated with the residential developers to refresh their website, with functionality that is second to none. This included a user friendly ‘home browsing’ interface that puts the users’ preferences in the driver’s seat, and an in depth home and land search that integrates Google Maps for home locations.
We’re also pretty chuffed to confess it was a finalist at the 2016 Australian Web Awards.
2. Hitting the town with Google
We’re guns at digital marketing but we’re also great event planners. Together with Google, we hosted a number of major events throughout the year in Perth and at Google HQ in Sydney, imparting our expertise on Google’s AdWords program and latest technologies. 3. Connecting WA health
We delivered a comprehensive new website for WA Primary Health Alliance, which included adapting the website to their changing brand as the organisation expanded. The brief was for an easy to navigate website that met the required Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0), and for it to be aligned with their objective of improving health outcomes and patient experiences in Western Australia.
4. Brewing up a storm
No, we didn’t create our own brew (although it does sound like fun) – we’ll leave that one to the experts. Riverside Brewhouse did become the talk of the office though, not just because they were our client, but also because the beers are sooo good. Hello weekend!
5. Here comes the bride
Moving from beers to bridal – Hobnob Bridal kept us busy with their website design and ensured the girls in the office were distracted too. Hobnob’s new website showcases their ever-changing collection of gowns using an easy to manage WordPress content management system.
6. A taste of the Google life
A trip we’ll never turn down or forget. We were fortunate to be invited to Google’s head office in San Francisco – and boy wouldn’t we love to live and work there. We also attended Google’s partner conference in Tokyo.
7. hitting the open water
The team had a ball working with Fremantle Sailing Club to completely overhaul their website to reflect the latest web design trends. And it didn’t fall short in functionality, incorporating everything from eCommerce through to booking systems, interactive calendars, members login area and capped off with some premium drone videography.
8. Let’s get building
We combined forces with internationally renowned health care design architects Silver Thomas Hanley Architects to roll out a more modern website. Incorporating all of the latest trends, we set out to highlight their projects and services in a more user friendly approach, that brings their online presence inline with their high quality of work.
9. Lifting our game
Our team spirit was booming as we recruited left, right and centre to expand our expertise in a number of areas across our Perth and Bangkok offices. The teams celebrated this year’s successes at their annual Christmas parties. Check out the gallery to see how we unwound & prepared for the festive season.
10. From the ground up
We commenced working on a very exciting project for a client in the entertainment industry, which covers our full suite of services from branding inception right through to digital marketing solutions and development of IOS and android apps.
